If the base is mounted with a hole in the of the mounting surface to get to a nut on the backside it could be used. In the photos the front and back can be seen, it is scratched up and has slight damage. The nut on the backside in the plastic turned and the nut would spin causing the mounting bolt to be drilled from the front.
